Pablo is a tame, greencheek conure born around November 2007. We are unsure if Pablo is a male or female as no DNA test has been done. Pablo can be quite nippy when first getting to know you but seems to warm up after he settles in. Pablo loves to take showers with you and his favorite food is apples. Like many conures, Pablo can be loud at times so an apartment situation would not be good. Here's what Pablo's foster home has said about him after fostering him for a few months, "Pablo came to me and was a nipper. I've worked with him a lot and he is much better. He's a real sweetheart. Likes to snuggle and hide under my hair. He would be a great companion bird and I'm sure he would be a real circus bird." Pablo's adoption fee is $75. Pablo came into rescue July 2009. *To adopt a bird you must attend bird care/behavior classes regardless of where you live. We only adopt within reasonable day's driving distance of the Eugene/Springfield area. We do not ship birds. At the class you can receive the name of the foster home that has the bird you're interested in and you can make an appointment with the home to do visits with the bird. A certain number of visits is required for each bird before an application will be accepted. Upon completing meetings with the bird you can put in your application at that time if you choose and expect to attend an adoption meeting. Large birds and some small will have a probation period during which time you will serve as the foster home before an adoption will be finalized. There will be a home inspection for every adoption. If the adoption is approved, either on a probationary basis or not, payment is then due and you can arrange to pick up your bird. There may be follow up phone calls from Exotic Bird Rescue after the adoption. Adoptions are not a first come first serve deal- we choose the most appropriate home for that particular bird.
